There are just three players left with a chance at winning the 2013 WSOP Player of the Year award.

Matt Ashton is the current leader, but he busted out of the WSOP Europe High Roller. Below is you’ll find each player’s road to victory in the 2013 WSOP POY race.

The two players chasing Ashton are still alive with 19 players left in the WSOPE High Roller, hoping to chase Ashton down in the final leg of the race.

Matt Ashton:

Ashton wins the 2013 WSOP Player of the Year award if: Daniel Negreanu finishes 9th or worse in the WSOPE High Roller; Marc-Etienne McLaughlin doesn’t finish in the top two in the WSOPE High Roller AND win the WSOP Main Event.

Daniel Negreanu:

If Negreanu wins the WSOPE High Roller, he wins WSOP POY.

If Negreanu finishes 2nd-7th in the WSOPE High Roller: Marc-Etienne McLaughlin has to win the WSOPE High Roller AND the WSOP Main Event to win WSOP POY.

If Negreanu finishes 8th in the WSOPE High Roller: Marc-Etienne McLaughlin has to finish 2nd or better in the WSOPE High Roller AND win the WSOP Main Event.

Marc-Etienne McLaughlin:

If McLaughlin finishes 2nd in the WSOPE High Roller and wins the WSOP Main Event: Negreanu needs to finish 6th or better in the WSOPE High Roller to win WSOP POY.

If McLaughlin wins the WSOPE High Roller AND the WSOP Main Event: Negreanu needs to finish 2nd in the WSOPE High Roller to win WSOP POY.
