For most people that means a shower, a commute, a coffee and spending the first 15 minutes of your day procrastinating before getting your workday started. Here at BLUFF, we think The Ante should be a key part of your routine. Every weekday we bring you all the poker news you might have missed and get you ready to take on your day. Carpe diem.

Mike ‘Timex’ McDonald AMA Reddit

For years now one of the most respected players on the tournament circuit has been Mike ‘Timex’ McDonald. This January he won $4.3 million with four separate scores. On Tuesday he took to Reddit to do an Ask Me Anything where he wrote openly about the life of a pro poker player.

Some highlights:

-He once used a hotel laundry sheet to track over $2 million in money he owed to his backers

-Being on the Epic Poker League ethics committee is the scummiest thing he’s ever been through away from the table. “I’m not used to having people lie to my face and found each meeting to be emotionally draining as I felt I was just being lied to non-stop.”

Nosebleed Now Available with English Subtitles

A few weeks ago a new poker documentary made its way online. The film, directed by Victor Saumont, followed French poker pros Alex “Alexonmooon” Luneau and Sebastien “Seb86″ Sabic at the 2014 World Series of Poker. The only problem was the whole thing was in French.

Well, now it’s available on YouTube with English subtitles. Enjoy.
