POY: Marvin Rettenmaier Back in Top Five

Five of Marvin Rettenmaier's seven cashes this year have been in France.

This week’s BLUFF Player of the Year update, sponsored by the Aria Resort and Casino, features little change in the standings as Galen Hall remains the leader with Erik Seidel a close second as the World Series of Poker gets underway May 31. Results over the next seven weeks will surely cause upheaval in the standings.

The major mover in this week’s update is former POY leader Marvin Rettenmaier, climbing from ninth to fifth after a pair of results at the France Poker Series Grand Final at the Aviation Club in Paris. European Poker Tour Deauville winner Lucien Cohen returns to the top 20 with a French Poker Series final table appearance.

Matthew Waxman debuts in the top 20 with his final table at the WSOP Circuit South Regional Championship in New Orleans.
