Reader’s Choice Nominees: Favorite East Coast Poker Room

The 6th Annual BLUFF Magazine Reader’s Choice Awards give poker fans the chance to have their say about who and what they like in the world of poker. Before voting opens on December 6 we’ll introduce each of the nominees in the 14 categories. Poker is booming again on the East Coast with properties in New England, New Jersey and the new hotbed of Florida are nominated for Favorite East Coast Poker Room.

The Borgata (Atlantic City)

The crowning jewel of the Atlantic City strip, Borgata boasts one of the biggest poker rooms on the East Coast and the spacious room is always packed with people.  Throw in luxurious rooms and some of the best dining options around and you’ve got one of the best poker environments in the country.

Foxwoods Resort Casino (Mashantucket , Connecticut)

This sprawling casino in the woods of Connecticut features the kinds of cash games players never want to quit.  There is always cash game action to be had and the new High Rollers bowling alley provides a great spot for players to unwind after a day at the tables.

Hard Rock Seminole (Hollywood, Florida)

Once legislation in Florida opened up the cash games, it was only a matter of time before the Hard Rock Seminole became one of the top new poker destinations.  Players are already buzzing about the casino’s spring WPT event and, until then, cash games from $1/$2 to $50/$100 are ripe for the taking.

Mohegan Sun (Uncasville, Connecticut)

Mohegan Sun is on the rise thanks to prominent coverage on ESPN of its NAPT event last spring.  The poker room continues to grow and expand, including offering one of the fastest-growing games on the poker scene—Badugi.
