The World Poker Tour’s trip to Florida dominated the poker headlines this week, but they were not the only tour to pay a visit to the Sunshine State. The Heartland Poker Tour kicked off its eighth season with a trip to Daytona Beach last week. We’ve got the highlights from the big debut and other tournament news from around the world in this edition of Tournament Tracker.

The Daytona Beach event featured a $1,650 buy-in and a new re-entry component on the HPT. The addition of re-entries resulted in a 277-entry field and a prize pool of more than $400,000. Notables like Tiffany Michelle, Maria Ho, and Darvin Moon were in the field, but it was 20 year-old Joey Chaldaud who took the title along with a $105,177 payday.

The European Master of Poker event in Prague drew similar numbers for a similar buy-in event. Nils Jarefjall topped the 224-person field and picked up over €50,000 for his efforts.

Back in the States, East Coasters shifted their attention from Borgata to Foxwoods for the Foxwoods February Mega Stack Challenge. The Main Event of that series drew 362 runners with Andrew St Hilaire defeating Daryl Jace heads-up for the nearly $92,000 payday.

Over on the other coast, the LA Poker Classic keeps rolling along. The big buy-in events are coming up next week, but this week did see a $150 buy-in event with a tidy prize pool. Thanks to eight starting flights, the $150 Double Stack Turbo Event generated a prize pool of $607,500. The tournament ended in a three-way deal that ensured a payday of at least $70,000 for official winner Adam Springer, Joshua Haddy, and Inhpounh Vongvone.

Next week, you can expect more results from LAPC as well as the official results from the Fallsview Poker Classic up in Canada. Until then, here are the final table results of the aforementioned events:
